We created this cow over the moon sculpture with reclaimed metal. We hand draw the pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut it with a hand held plasma cutter. We then hand hammer and arc weld the cow into shape. It is hand painted with milk paint.
The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. This piece can be placed inside or out. Each Cow will have subtle variations. We cut them by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.

Ben’s Cow
Sculpture, Tabletop SculptureA tranquil friend, this steel cow sculpture will bring you the peace of a rolling green pasture. It is a stately rust, metal cow that can sit handsomely on your entry table or on your fireplace mantle. It would make a very special gift for your farmhouse loving friend.
This cow sculpture is handmade in rural Pennsylvania with reclaimed metal. The pattern is drawn on the metal with soapstone, cut with a hand-held plasma cutter, hand-shaped and arc welded together.
Each piece will have its own subtle differences; they are cut, hammered, and built by hand. The weathered steel has its own imperfections. No two pieces of metal will wear alike.
A clear finish is applied to the entire piece.
