Bring your wall to life with this strong, yet whimsical 3d metal art. Dale the Deer is one of the most adored Gatski pieces. This unique metal sculpture is at home on entryway, living room or porch walls or above fireplaces. Dale is very happy to be either indoors or outdoors. The piece makes a very special husband gift or fathers day gift.
We created this Deer Head entirely from reclaimed metal. The antlers start out as flat pieces of rusty metal. We hand hammer them into shape and grind them smooth. We then hand draw the head pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut it with a hand held plasma cutter. Next we weld the shapes together to form the head. Finally we mount the head on a recycled corn planter disk.
The metal is sealed with a clear enamel. This piece can be hung inside or out. Each head will have subtle variations. We cut them by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.
This head can easily be hung with a nail or screw. The weight is approximately 10lbs
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
