September Limited Edition Piece

This is our September 2016 limited edition piece. This piece was inspired by our local Bloomsburg Fair that occurs every September. This award-winning pig is in honor of the fair tradition. We are creating just 10 of these. It is inscribed with the edition number and the date on the bottom.
This piece was hand-cut with a hand held plasma cutter, and hand-hammered into shape. Ben welded it fixed it to a piece of reclaimed barn wood.
The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. Each piece will have very subtle variations. We cut them by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Cricket
ArchivedThis piece was handmade by Ben Gatski in Pennsylvania. The metal we used is from weathered steel. We hand draw the pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut it with a hand held plasma cutter. We then hand hammer and weld it into shape. The blue was hand painted with milk paint.
The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. Each man will have subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences. Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
Prize Pig on Stand
ArchivedA prize pig, for sure. We created this pig reclaimed metal and barn wood. The pig was hand cut from wood, carved and sanded to create its shape. its shiny appearance is due to a clear coat of water based enamel. The metal ribbon across the bottom is reclaimed metal that was also hand cut and welded into place beneath the pig. This sculpture is freestanding, the base is also made from reclaimed steel.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look (optional) by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store. Size: 18”h x 26”w x 2”d
Blaze the Bull
ArchivedWe created this bull head sculpture from reclaimed metal. The head is painted with red milk paint. We hand draw the pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut it with a hand held plasma cutter. We then hand hammer and arc weld it into shape. The head is mounted on a recycled corn planter disk.
Each head will have subtle variations. We cut them by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences. The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. This head can easily be hung with a nail or screw. It's weight is approximately 15 lbs Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
