Steer Head
ArchivedThis lovely steer head is handmade with reclaimed metal in rural Pennsylvania. The head pattern is hand drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. The shapes are then hand hammered and arc welded together to form the head. The head is mounted on a recycled corn planter disk.
This steer head is sealed with a water-based enamel. It can be hung inside or out. Each head will have subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences. It can be hung with a nail or screw. Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store. Size: 12"h x 24"w x 12.5"d -
