woodpecker sculpture

This folk art sculpture is handmade with reclaimed metal. The pattern is hand drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. The bird is then hand hammered and arc welded into shape. This woodpecker is sitting on a piece of hemlock wood that was harvested from our property. The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. Each piece will have subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences. Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Size: 14”h x 16”w x 8”d
