Each month in 2017 we are creating a single stem flower or plant. This month it’s a Snowdrop! They come with their own base, or you can purchase a vase and collect them all. We will design them one at a time, but they will be all a similar size so you can fill your vase if you wish.
We will be creating just 20 of each. They are numbered and marked with a “G.” They are the perfect size for desktop, an entryway table or on a mantle.
A prize pig, for sure. We created this pig reclaimed metal and barn wood. The pig was hand cut from wood, carved and sanded to create its shape. its shiny appearance is due to a clear coat of water based enamel. The metal ribbon across the bottom is reclaimed metal that was also hand cut and welded into place beneath the pig. This sculpture is freestanding, the base is also made from reclaimed steel.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look (optional) by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
We created this bull head sculpture from reclaimed metal. The head is painted with red milk paint. We hand draw the pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut it with a hand held plasma cutter. We then hand hammer and arc weld it into shape. The head is mounted on a recycled corn planter disk.
Each head will have subtle variations. We cut them by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.
The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel. This head can easily be hung with a nail or screw. It’s weight is approximately 15 lbs
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
