Peace Dove

Dedicated to peace. This tabletop sculpture is a gentle ode to the peace we welcome into our everyday life. This darling dove can greet us in our entryway as we enter our home, or it could sit with us as we find rest in our living space. This Peace Dove sculpture would make a very thoughtful Mothers Day gift or a very special holiday gift for the home. Giving a gift that symbolizes peace is a very powerful gift indeed.

This tabletop sculpture is handmade in rural Pennsylvania with reclaimed metal. The pattern is drawn on the metal with soapstone, cut with a hand-held plasma cutter, hand-shaped and arc welded together.

Each piece will have its own subtle differences; they are cut, hammered, and built by hand.

The steel on the dove is ground smooth, giving the piece a polished and naturally uneven finish.  A clear finish is applied to the entire piece.

Each Gatski is a blend of imperfect materials and capable hands.

Care:  Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny look (optional) by applying a clear, metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
