Hi friends!
Happy Fall! Are you racing to catch leaves before they fall in the city park? Are you kicking them up as you stroll with your pumpkin latte? Are you gazing wistfully at carpets of color on the hillsides while zipping along in your shiny convertible?
Fall brings so many cinematic possibilities, doesn’t it? The beautiful warmth combined with the thrilling coolness can really stir up some possibilities.
Speaking of possibilities… there is always a bit of magic up here on the hill.
Ben made this fine crow as part of a custom project a bit ago. Evidently crows are symbols of change and transformation; let’s go! Ironically one is cawing out to me as I write on the porch. Ok, ok! I get it! I promise not to sit here all afternoon going on and on.
Next up is a darling little blue jay, another little custom project Ben created. Now, I must go find out what blue jays symbolize. Just a sec… it took an extra minute because I couldn’t get a straight answer. It looks they might be harbingers of intelligence and truth. Let me know if you have your own take on that!
Ok, this one I don’t need to look up. Dogs make us happy. Yes, of course! This was a custom dog Ben made a few months back. It’s always a pleasure to make your metal dog portraits!
As the crow made me promise, I will change, yes I will. Before I go, I have one more piece to share. As the days light grows shorter here in the Northern Hemisphere, we turn toward illuminations of our own making. This candle lantern is one of my favorites. I have two of them on our dining table, that I enjoy lighting regularly. Highly recommend!
I do hope you find lightness wherever your days lead you, and perhaps a staring role in your own dazzling autumn performance. Applause! Applause!
