Blue Moon

Make treasured moments together more than once in a blue moon. This large garden sculpture is an artful acknowledgement of special times with loved ones. The crescent moon is accompanied by a Moon Flower blossom, which opens in the evenings. This piece is ideal for garden patios or outdoor living areas. It would make a very special gift for a gardener.

This unique piece is handmade in rural Pennsylvania with reclaimed metal. It features a metal moon flower blossom dangling from the center. The pattern is drawn on the metal with soapstone, cut with a hand-held plasma cutter, hand-shaped and arc welded together.

We created this piece as part of our new “Looking Up” collection celebrating the hope and joy beyond the horizon.

Size:  36″h x 19″w x 9″d

Each piece will have its own subtle differences; they are cut, hammered, and built by hand.

The color is hand-painted with milk paint, giving the piece a naturally uneven and textured finish.  A clear finish is applied to the entire piece.

Each Gatski is a blend of imperfect materials and capable hands.

Care:  Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny look (optional) by applying a clear, metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.
