Happy New Year dear friends! We’re so happy you are here! We hope you are feeling joy and hope for the coming months! We are happy to have these winter days to gather our thoughts, organize our spaces and get our creative minds in motion. It is an exciting time, as we look towards 2023 and ponder what it might bring.
We always take some time to define some intentions, goals, dreams, or whatever you might call them. We’re at the point where we know these early January thoughts can sometimes dissolve as the days grow longer, but we also know that figuring out what you want to do, is how you get there!
This year we are hoping to put our creative minds towards a larger, outdoor sculptural installation type piece. It is something we have wanted to do for years, and it seems like it’s slowly making its way up the priority list. Hooray! For now, we have the sketchbook out and we’re in the dreaming stage. We’ll see how the light shines on this in 2023.
I believe this one made the list last year, but we are working to improve the shop with a few small upgrades. Ben’s working space has not changed much at all in the last 20 years, and it is definitely time for a few updates! While not too thrilling for you all, hopefully it will translate into renewed creative energy bringing you more fun Gatskis!
I will be happy to improve my communication with you all! It does feel like an annual goal. I do enjoy sharing stories, videos and photos from our daily creative endeavors, but it is one that seems to easily fall by the wayside in the midst of shuffling the kids around and getting the basics done each day! I am so grateful to each and every one of you, and hopefully I can do better this year showing our appreciation!! Happy New Year!!!
